Making the adhesive hold

This matters more than anything else on this page. Adhesive mounting works reliably on clean, dry, sealed tile, glass or gloss-painted surfaces. It does not work on textured wallpaper, unsealed plaster or flaking paint.

2. Press firmly and hold for 60 seconds.
3. Wait a full 24 hours before hanging anything on it. This is the step people skip, and it's the reason adhesive fittings fall down.

Hang wet towels on the bar rather than pulling down on it, and it will stay put.

Will it really hold without screws?
On clean, sealed tile or glass, yes — provided you give it the full 24 hours to cure before loading it. On textured or unsealed walls, it won't.

Can I remove it without damaging the wall?
From tile and glass, generally yes, with heat and patience. On painted plaster there's always a risk of lifting paint.

How much weight will the towel bar take?
A normal bath towel, wet or dry. Don't hang off it, and don't load it like a grab rail — it isn't one.
